FRESH BOXED BLOOMS
Keep your flowers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat, dust, and ripening fruit. All these conditions may cause your flowers to wilt faster.
Ensure the floral foam stays wet to keep the flowers hydrated. When adding water, find a spot in between the flowers and pour it gently onto the foam.
When a flower starts to wilt, remove the petals or the whole flower from the arrangement. Flowers bloom and wilt at different times. Removing wilted flowers can help prevent the spread of bacteria to the other flowers, thus slowing down the wilting process.
FRESH BOUQUET
Once you’ve unwrapped your bouquet, cut the stems at a 45-degree angle. This technique allows the flowers to absorb water more quickly. Place the flowers in a vase with clean water.
To keep them fresh and prevent bacterial growth, remove wilting leaves, trim the stems, clean the vase, and change water every 2-3 days.
Avoid placing your flowers where they will be exposed to direct sunlight to prevent them from drying and wilting. And, keep your flowers away from ripening fruit, especially bananas and apples. Ripening fruit gives off ethylene gas, which may cause your flowers to deteriorate quickly.
PRESERVED AND DRIED FLOWERS
Do not water or even mist your preserved and dried flowers, as doing so can cause damage to their beauty and delicate nature.
Keep them out of direct sunlight, as prolonged exposure can slowly cause discoloration and fading. They must be kept in a mild, dry environment, away from humidity, to avoid your preserved and dried flowers becoming moldy.
Remember that these flowers are fragile and delicate. Refrain from transporting and moving them around excessively.
